Nathan Strother (Senior) Football Player Honored at Bronco Nagurski Awards!

Nathan was presented with the High School Leadership Award to honor a high school senior player who demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities on the field, in the classroom and in the community. Nathan is a team Captain and helped keep his team motivated. In school he is the Executive Council President and volunteers in the community. He is a member of HOSA, Berry Boys Club, Right Moves for Youth and the National Honor Society. He has also been selected as an Alpha Beautillion for the 2019-20 school year.

POB represented at All District Honors Orchestra

Congratulations to Manuella Gbossou (Bass) and Mark Gutierrez (Violin) for making the All District Honors Orchestra this past Saturday. They will represent Phillip O. Berry in January and February at All-District. An Honors concert will be conducted on February 8th in which both will play. Their hard work is rewarded with this selection and recognition. Their Director Eric Thompson is to also be recognized for his support and guidance of these exceptional students.

Student David Marin Escobar announced as a Questbridge Scholarship Finalist

Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology is proud to announce that Engineering Senior, David Marin Escobar, has been selected as a Finalist for the Questbridge Scholarship. Questbridge recognizes exceptional high school seniors with tremendous academic achievements and community impact--in an applicant pool of 14,926, David became one of 5,842 students selected as a Finalist. David is now eligible to gain admission to the most highly-selective colleges and universities in the country on a full scholarship. David intends to pursue a double-major in Astrophysics and Astronomy and hopes to uplift other similar first-generation students to pursue their best next step. David, the Cardinal Community is tremendously proud of your remarkable recognition and extends sincere gratitude for all your work with the Spanish Honor Society, Cardinal Ambassadors, and frequent tutorial sessions.

Sprint 1 Million Project

The Sprint 1 Million Project is a partnership between Sprint and CMS High Schools. This program provides a free wifi hotspot with 10 GB of monthly data for any student who does not have consistent access to the internet outside of school.

Please respond below if you are interested in participating in the Sprint 1 MIllion Program for the 2019-2020 school year. Devices will be issued at the beginning of the school year for eligible students while supplies last.
